Ammo Beach Club
Ammo Beach Club is a stylish pool club on the San Pedro de Alcántara beach promenade, featuring a heated pool surrounded by sand. Family-friendly with a Mediterranean restaurant, cocktail bar, and sunbed rental. The pool area is the centrepiece, with comfortable loungers and cabana options. They serve breakfast, lunch, and cocktails, with a dedicated kids' menu. Open year-round, it's a great spot for families who want a relaxed beach club experience without the stuffiness of some Marbella venues.
Our Review
Our Review of Ammo Beach Club
We stumbled across Ammo on a weekend walk along the San Pedro promenade and ended up staying for most of the day. It's right on the paseo, which makes it easy to find, and the first thing you notice is the heated pool sitting in the middle of everything, surrounded by proper sand — not tiles or concrete. The kids kicked off their shoes and were straight in.
We grabbed a couple of Bambu sunbeds, which at €50 each include €40 to spend on food and drinks, so you're really only paying €10 for the bed itself. The pool is warm enough that even our youngest was happy splashing around in February, and the sand around the edge means toddlers can dig and play without you worrying about them slipping on wet tiles. Pool access for kids is €20, and under-twos go free.
The food is proper Mediterranean — we shared a paella and ordered the kids' penne pasta (€14.50), which came in a decent portion. Starters run around €18–22 and mains are similar. It's not cheap, but the quality is there and the setting makes it feel worth it. They also do breakfast from 9am if you want to make a morning of it.
💡 Tip
Book ahead, especially on weekends — the sunbeds are guaranteed until 13:30 for reservations. Call them on +34 638 038 369 or book through their website. They also do birthday chambao packages from €450 if you're looking for a party venue.
The vibe is relaxed and welcoming. There were other families with kids of all ages, plus couples and groups of friends, so it doesn't feel like you're intruding on anyone's scene. Dogs are welcome too. The promenade location means you can combine it with a walk or a bike ride along the seafront.
One thing to note: it stays open year-round, but hours are shorter on weekdays (closing at 20:00 vs 23:00 on weekends). On Fridays and Saturdays they have a DJ, which adds to the atmosphere without being too loud for little ones during the day.
Parking is available nearby and the whole promenade area is flat and buggy-friendly. We've been back several times since that first visit — it hits the right balance between a proper beach club atmosphere and being genuinely comfortable with kids in tow.
