Our Review of Pan & Mermelada

Pan & Mermelada is one of the go-to brunch spots on the Golden Mile, and for good reason. The menu is huge — covering everything from a proper full English to Turkish eggs, acai bowls, avocado toast, burgers and sandwiches. Whatever you're in the mood for, they'll have it. The food is well made, portions are generous, and they use free-range eggs throughout.

The space has been recently refurbished and it looks great. Stylish interior with slatted wood panelling and modern lighting, plus a spacious outdoor terrace that catches the morning sun perfectly. It's the kind of place that feels polished without being pretentious — you can rock up in flip flops or dressed for lunch and it works either way.

For families, there's a proper kids' menu with mac and cheese, chicken popcorn bites, mini burgers and a fruit bowl — and they do babyccinos for the little ones. High chairs are available too. The terrace is buggy-friendly with plenty of space between tables.

It's not the most original brunch concept, but they do it well and consistently. A reliable choice when you want a solid family brunch on the Golden Mile.
