Our Review of Roasted

If you're a coffee person, Roasted is going to make your day. This little specialty coffee shop sits just below the San Pedro boulevard in Nueva Alcántara, and it's easily the best coffee in the area. The space has a clean, minimalist Scandinavian feel — white walls, light wood, plants, and not much else. It's the kind of place where you can tell they care about getting the coffee right.

And they really do. The flat whites are exceptional, made with single-origin beans that they rotate regularly. They stock beans from Brazil, Colombia, Kenya, Costa Rica and more, and you can buy bags to take home — they'll grind to your preference. If you're into pour-over or cold brew, they do those too. It's specialty coffee done properly, without any pretentiousness.

Beyond the coffee, there are good cinnamon buns, croissants and pastries to go with it. It's not a full food menu — this is a coffee shop first — but there's enough to keep you and the kids happy for a mid-morning stop. The space is small but comfortable, with a few tables inside and a small terrace outside. Dog-friendly and buggy-friendly too.

💡 Tip

It's on Avenida Juan Vargas in Nueva Alcántara, just below the boulevard. Street parking nearby. Open daily 9am to 4pm. If you love the coffee, grab a bag of beans before you leave — they also sell online at roasted.com.es.

A proper specialty coffee shop in a town that could use more of them.
